Expert Care
Having grown up in a family of dentists, Dr. Zach Kashlan received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2015. He completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2016 and then returned to Atlanta to practice general dentistry.
While practicing general dentistry, he developed a passion for Periodontics while pursuing further training through continuing education courses in Dental Implantology. Driven by the desire to perfect his craft, this passion grew further to become a pursuit of a full-time Periodontics residency training in 2018 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. During his Periodontics residency, he learned advanced techniques in both non-surgical and surgical Periodontology such as Periodontal Plastic Surgery (gum grafting), complex bone grafting, dental implants, and other advanced procedures like All-on-4 (teeth in a day). While in residency, Dr. Kashlan also completed his master’s in dental sciences with emphasis on alveolar ridge preservation procedures.
Dr. Kashlan believes in a collaborative practice model that benefits everyone, especially the patient and their family/general dentist. While practicing in private practice Periodontics, he noticed obstacles in communication with the referring dentists as well as the frustration and anxiety by many patients to be treated by a dentist they’ve never seen before in a totally new office environment. Some of these patients have been going to their general dentist for many years and never had to leave their dentist’s office for any treatment. For this reason, he saw the need and demand to provide his services to these patients in their general dentist’s office. He invested in all the necessary equipment to perform the same high caliber surgical procedures at the brick-and-mortar private practice and organized them so that they are easily transferred to the different offices that he does surgeries in. He is proud to be able to offer his speciality procedures to patients at their general dentist’s office.
Outside of the work environment, Dr. Kashlan enjoys learning languages and staying fit by training in MMA, Jiu-Jitsu and Calisthenics.
